A destination wedding in Marrakech is an unforgettable mix of colour, culture, incredible landscapes and the kind of atmosphere that makes every moment feel completely magical. Sherine and Paul’s celebration started the evening before the wedding, at Alkamar desert camp outside Marrakech: dunes at sundown, camels against the light, musicians playing as the sky went dark. By the time the wedding day arrived, everyone was already half in a dream.

Just an hour’s drive from Marrakech, Palais Hassoun is a secluded oasis surrounded by the Moroccan countryside. Its lush gardens, citrus trees and traditional architecture provided the setting for Sherine and Paul’s wedding, with musicians in white djellabas welcoming guests as they arrived. The ceremony took place beneath a blue lattice pergola, setting the scene for the celebrations that followed.

After the ceremony, drinks and music moved to the rooftop, framed by the warm colours of a Moroccan sunset. As evening fell, guests gathered around the pool for dinner, long tables glowing in the candlelight and reflections shimmering across the water.

To open the dance floor, Sherine and Paul were carried above the crowd on traditional amariya thrones, as their guests danced around them, a joyful blend of Moroccan tradition and European celebration. From there, the dancing carried on late into the night, bringing the evening to a spirited and unforgettable close.
